"Jesus is alive!"

Story: "The Easter Story" (Toddler Version)

A long time ago, some people were very mean to Jesus. They put Him on a cross, and He died. Jesus' friends were very sad.

But guess what? That wasn't the end of the story!

After three days, something amazing happened! Some women went to Jesus' tomb, but the stone was rolled away!

An angel said, "Jesus is not here! He is alive!"

Jesus’ friends were so happy! They ran to tell everyone the good news!

Jesus is alive forever, and He loves us so much!

Activity: "Rolling Away the Stone" Game

How to Play:

  • Use a ball to represent the big stone.
  • Have kids take turns rolling the ball away to "open" the tomb.
  • Each time they do, have everyone cheer and say, "Jesus is alive!"

Craft: "Empty Tomb Easter Craft"

Supplies:

  • Paper plates.
  • Brown and gray construction paper.
  • Crayons or markers.
  • Scissors and glue.

Instructions:

  1. Cut a paper plate in half and color it to look like a tomb.
  2. Cut out a circle (the stone) from gray paper.
  3. Glue the tomb to another paper plate.
  4. Attach the stone with a brad (or tape) so it can “roll” away.
  5. Write (or help them write) "Jesus is Alive!" on it.
  6. Let kids "roll away the stone" and celebrate!

Alive today, alive today!
Jesus is alive today,
He loves me so much!

Dear God,
Thank You for Jesus.
Thank You that He is alive!
Help me tell others about Him.
Amen.
