💬 Main Point to Repeat with Kids
“I need God’s Word every day!”
📘 Toddler-Friendly Story
The Bunny Who Baked a Bible Cake
Billy the Bunny loved snacks.
Carrot chips, berry muffins, and cupcakes with sprinkles.
But one day, he hopped into his kitchen and said:
“Today I’m baking a Bible cake!”
He pulled out his apron and a giant mixing bowl.
Then he said something very silly:
“I’m going to use Bible verses as my recipe!”
He flipped open his Bible and read:
“Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” – Matthew 4:4
Billy scratched his head.
“Hmm… so the Bible says I need God’s Word like I need food?”
He grabbed a spoon and shouted:
“Then I better mix in lots of verses!”
He scribbled down ingredients:
-
1 scoop of Psalm 23
-
2 pinches of Jesus loves me
-
A swirl of “Be kind”
-
3 cups of “God is always with me”
He mixed it all together with a handful of shredded paper (oops!)
and added a gummy carrot on top.
Billy popped it in the oven and waited...
Ding!
He took one bite and made a face.
“BLEHHH! This isn’t real cake!” he laughed.
Then he heard a whisper in his heart:
“God’s Word isn’t something you bake… it’s something you believe.”
Billy smiled and sat down with his Bible.
He read a verse, then another, then another.
And he said,
“This fills my heart way more than cake fills my tummy!”
From that day on, Billy still baked real cakes—
But every morning, he made sure to feed on God’s Word first.
The End.
🎲 Activity/Game
Verse Recipe Match-Up!
Print or write short Bible phrases (like “God loves me” or “Be kind always”) and hide them in mixing bowls.
Let kids “stir” with plastic spoons and pull one out.
Each time they read one, say:
“God’s Word is what I need!”
You can also pretend to “mix” the verses into a big imaginary cake!

“Thank You, Jesus, for real food and for Your Word.”
🎵 Song
“I Need God’s Word Each Day”
(Tune: “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”)
I don’t need just bread and pie,
God’s True Word makes me try.
When I read His words so true,
It helps me know what to do.
God’s Word feeds my heart and soul,
Every verse can make me whole!
📝 Poem
Billy’s Bible Cake
Billy tried to bake a treat,
With Bible verses oh-so-sweet!
But God said, “Don’t eat My Word—
Just trust and love what you have heard.”
Now Billy reads his Bible each day,
And serves God with joy along the way!
🎭 Pretend Play Game
Bunny Bakery Bible Time
Set up a pretend kitchen.
Let kids “bake” pretend cakes using play ingredients labeled:
Love, Trust, God’s Word, Jesus, Kindness.
Let them pretend to “serve” their Bible cakes to friends and say:

🙏 Closing Prayer (Repeat After Me)
Dear Jesus,
Thank You for the Bible.
It helps my heart grow strong.
Your words are better than cake!
I want to read and follow them every day.
Amen.
