An egg in the grass wore glittery shoes,
He wiggled his shell to some boppity blues!
With a hop and a spin, he gave a loud shout,
“Let’s twist, let’s bounce, let’s shake it all out!”

The bunnies clapped paws, the chicks did a turn,
The daffodils giggled, the tulips would burn—
With laughter, that is, from the groovy display
Of an Easter egg boogieing all through the day!

He spun like a top with an Eanter grin,
And rolled to the beat with a peppermint spin.
“Twist and shout!” he yelled with delight—
“I’m the funkiest egg on this Easter night!”
