💬 Main Point to Repeat with Kids:
“God helps me when I need Him!”
📘 Toddler-Friendly Story:
“The Ladybug Who Got Stuck in the Jelly”
Lulu the Ladybug was always exploring.
She zoomed through the grass, danced on flower petals, and slid down leafy slides.
But one day, she found something very red... and very shiny.
It was a giant jar of strawberry jelly sitting in a picnic basket.
“Ooooh!” Lulu said. “It looks sticky-sweet and squishy-fun!”
She tiptoed to the edge of the jar. She leaned in… and SPLAT!
Lulu fell into the jelly.
She wiggled. She squiggled. She flapped her wings.
But the jelly just said squish and stuck to her legs, her belly, even her antennae!
“Help!” she cried. “I’m stuck!”
No one came. The jelly wobbled. The jar giggled.
Then Lulu remembered something her grandma ladybug always said:
“When you’re in trouble, call on God. He’s always there.”
So Lulu closed her eyes and prayed:
“God, I’m scared… and very stuck. Please help me!”
Right then, a breeze blew through the trees.
A gentle hand reached into the jar. It was a little girl from the picnic.
“Oh no! Poor ladybug,” she whispered, and carefully lifted Lulu out.
She set her gently on a napkin and gave her a tiny leaf to rest on.
Lulu blinked. The jelly dripped off.
“Thank You, God,” she smiled, “for being my helper.”
And from then on, whenever Lulu got stuck—she always remembered to pray first.
The End.
🎲 Activity/Game:
“Jelly Rescue!”
Use red playdough or gelatin in a plastic container.
Hide a small plastic ladybug inside.
Let kids take turns trying to “rescue the ladybug” with tongs or fingers while saying:
🗣️ “God is our help!”
Talk about how sometimes we feel stuck—but God always hears us when we pray.

🎵 Song:
“God Helps Me When I’m Stuck”
(Tune: “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”)
When I’m stuck and feel afraid,
I know I can always pray.
God is with me—He’s so near,
He will help me, calm my fear.
Even in the jelly mess,
God will help and bring me rest!
📝 Poem:
Lulu in the Jelly Jar
Lulu landed with a splat,
In jelly sticky, gooey, flat.
She wiggled, wriggled, tried to flee—
But she was stuck—“Please, God, help me!”
Then God sent help, just like He said,
And out she popped—no more dread!
🎭 Pretend Play Game:
“Sticky, Stuck, and Saved!”
Let kids pretend to be stuck in jelly.
Others come to “rescue” them by praying and gently pulling them free (playfully, not forcefully).
Encourage phrases like:
“God will help us!” or
“We can pray when we feel stuck!”
🙏 Closing Prayer (Repeat After Me):
Dear God,
Thank You for helping me.
Even when I’m scared,
Or feel stuck,
You are always near.
I can pray, and You will help.
Amen!
