Lesson Title:

"The Bird That Sang Praises to God"

Bible Theme:

We can praise God with singing just like the birds!

Bible Verse (Toddler Version):

"Let us sing to the Lord with joy!" — Psalm 95:1 (Toddler-friendly paraphrase)

Main Point to Repeat with Kids:

"I can sing to God with joy!"

Story: "The Bird That Sang Praises to God" (Toddler Version)

In a big, beautiful tree, a tiny bird named Joy lived with her family. Every morning, Joy loved to chirp and sing, filling the air with happy sounds.

One day, a big gray cloud covered the sky. The other birds became quiet and afraid, but not Joy! She kept singing because she knew that God was still good—even when the sun was hiding.

Her song made the other birds happy, and soon, they joined in singing too!

That day, Joy learned that no matter what happens, we can always praise God—just like the Bible says in Psalm 95:1!

  4. Attach a craft stick to the bottom to hold the puppet.
  5. Let kids use their puppets to "sing praises to God" as they move them around!

Song (To the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star")

🎶
Let's just sing, sing, sing to God,
Lift your voice and praise out loud!
Like the bird up in the tree,
Singing loud for all to see.
Let's just sing, sing, sing to God,
Lift your voice and praise out loud!

🎶

Closing Prayer (Repeat After Me Style):

Dear God,
Thank You for music and songs.
Help me to always praise You.
I love You so much!
Amen.
