Story Title:
"Shelldon the Cracked Egg’s Big Adventure – A Hilarious Easter Story & Activity Lesson for Kids!"
Lesson Focus:
This Easter-themed lesson helps toddlers and preschoolers develop problem-solving skills, movement coordination, and creativity through a funny read-aloud story, crafts, a game, and a themed snack.
Story: "Shelldon the Cracked Egg’s Big Adventure!"
Shelldon the Egg was sitting snug and cozy in a big, fluffy Easter basket, dreaming of all the fun he would have at the Easter picnic.
But suddenly—BUMP! ROLL! CRACK!
Shelldon wobbled and tumbled right out of the basket! He landed on the grass with a tiny crack on his shell.
“Oh no! I have to get back before I turn into an omelet!” Shelldon squeaked.
He wobbled toward the picnic table but—uh-oh!—he was in for a wild adventure.
First, he rolled through a pile of jellybeans and got stuck in a marshmallow.
Then, he dodged a hungry squirrel who thought he was a snack.
Next, he zigzagged past a marching band of baby chicks.
Shelldon was getting tired and dizzy, but just as he thought he’d never make it…
A little bunny hopped over, picked him up gently, and placed him back in the basket with the other eggs.
Shelldon let out a big sigh of relief. “Whew! That was close. No omelets today!”

Song: "Shelldon the Wobbly Egg" (Tune: "London Bridge")
Shelldon wobbles here and there,
Here and there,
Here and there,
Shelldon wobbles everywhere,
To get back home!
He rolls past a hungry squirrel,
Hungry squirrel,
Hungry squirrel,
He rolls past a hungry squirrel,
To get back home!
Repeat with different obstacles from the story!
Parent Resource: Teaching Problem-Solving Through Play
Through fun storytelling and movement-based activities, kids learn:
✔ Cause and effect (why Shelldon wobbles and rolls).
✔ Problem-solving (navigating obstacles in the game).
✔ Fine motor skills (balancing eggs and wobbling puppets).
Parents can encourage problem-solving at home by:
- Asking kids open-ended questions during playtime.
- Letting kids make small decisions (“Which way do you think Shelldon should roll next?”).
