📘 BIBLE THEME:
Letting the Holy Spirit lead us
📖 BIBLE VERSE (TODDLER VERSION):
“Let God’s Spirit lead you.” – Galatians 5:25 (simplified)
🗣️ MAIN POINT TO REPEAT WITH KIDS:
“God helps me fly with Him!”
📖 TODDLER-FRIENDLY STORY:
Kelly the Kite lived in a little shed near the beach.
She dreamed of soaring through the sky with the birds, dancing on the wind, and feeling free.
One day, someone picked her up and carried her outside.
It was her big chance to fly!
The wind began to blow.
Kelly wiggled excitedly.
But instead of waiting, she tugged and twisted, trying to fly all by herself.
“Let go! I want to go my way!” she shouted.
But with a sudden pull — WHOOSH!
Kelly spun in circles… and crashed right into a dune.
She flopped down, dizzy and dusty.
“Oh no,” she whispered. “That didn’t go very well.”
Then she heard a kind voice:
“Kelly, let Me lead.”
It was the wind — soft and gentle.
“If you let Me guide you,” it said,
“you’ll soar higher than you’ve ever dreamed.”
So Kelly stopped tugging.
She let the wind carry her.
Higher and higher she flew — peaceful, joyful, and free!
And from that day on, Kelly remembered:
It’s better to fly with God than to go alone.
🎲 ACTIVITY: KITE TRAIL MOVEMENT GAME
Use streamers or ribbon to create a winding “wind path” on the floor. Let kids pretend to be kites and follow the path.
When they follow the trail, cheer:
“Let God’s Spirit lead you!”
If they go off the path, say:
“Oops! Time to let God guide!”

But tumbled like a stone.

Now she soars up in the sky,
With God’s Spirit lifting high!
🎭 PRETEND PLAY GAME: KITE PARADE
Give each child a pretend kite (real or made from paper) and let them “fly” around the room in a big circle.
Play soft music and have them follow a breeze (teacher waves scarf or fan).
At the end, have them say:
“God leads me and helps me soar!”
🍎 SNACK IDEA: KITE CRACKERS & STRING CHEESE
Make mini “kites” by placing square crackers in a diamond shape on a plate.
Add a cheese string “tail” with fruit pieces or cereal loops attached with peanut butter or cream cheese.
Say before eating:
“Thank You, God, for helping me follow You!”

🍎 SNACK IDEA: PB&J KITE SANDWICHES

Peanut butter (or sunflower butter for allergy-friendly version)
-
Jelly or jam (any flavor)
-
Kitchen knife or kite-shaped cookie cutter

Directions:
-
Make the sandwich:
Spread peanut butter on one slice of bread and jelly on the other. Press together to make a sandwich. -

Decorate (optional):
Add little dots of jelly, fruit bits, or mini chocolate chips to mimic kite patterns on the bread. -
Serve with a smile!
Before eating, have kids say together:
“Let God’s Spirit lead you!” – Galatians 5:25
🙏 CLOSING PRAYER (REPEAT AFTER ME):
Dear God,
Thank You for Your Spirit.
Help me follow You.
Lead me every day,
So I can fly with You!
Amen.
