📖 Story: Scarecrow’s Silly Hat

One breezy fall day, Scarecrow stood proudly in the cornfield, watching over the pumpkins and the tall corn stalks. He wore his favorite big floppy hat. But oh no — the wind had other ideas!

WHOOSH! The wind blew, and off went Scarecrow’s hat, flying into the sky.

“Hey! Come back here!” Scarecrow called. He tried to grab it, but his straw arms weren’t very fast. The hat landed right on a cow’s head!

“Moo?” said the cow. Everyone laughed. The cow looked quite fancy in Scarecrow’s hat!

Then the wind blew again. WHOOSH! Off flew the hat, landing on a pig rolling in the mud.

“Oink oink!” said the pig. The hat was now very muddy. “Oh no!” laughed Scarecrow. “That’s not where my hat belongs!”

Finally, the wind blew harder, and the hat landed right on a scarecrow’s friend — a squirrel nibbling on an acorn.

“Chatter, chatter!” squeaked the squirrel. The hat was way too big, but oh so funny.

At last, the hat rolled back to Scarecrow’s feet. He put it on and smiled. “I guess my hat wanted a silly adventure! Next time the wind blows, I’ll hold on tight!”

The pumpkins, the cow, the pig, and the squirrel all laughed together. From that day on, everyone called it Scarecrow’s Silly Hat!
