📖 Story: The Turkey Who Was Thankful for Leftovers
After the big Thanksgiving feast was over, all the animals went home with full bellies and happy hearts. But Tommy the Turkey was still in the barnyard, looking at the table covered in crumbs, half a roll, and a few cold peas.
“Hmm,” said Tommy, “looks like the feast is over.”
He started cleaning up the scraps when Benny the Bunny hopped by and asked,
“What are you doing, Tommy? The good food is gone!”
Tommy smiled and said, “Oh, Benny — this is good food! God gave us plenty, and I’m thankful for what’s left.”
Then Daisy the Duck waddled over, “You’re thankful for crumbs?”
Tommy nodded. “Yep! Because even crumbs mean God has blessed us!”
The animals looked at each other and began to smile. Soon everyone was picking up leftovers too — not to throw away, but to share!
Benny took the half roll to the baby chicks. Daisy shared the extra corn with the squirrels. And Tommy gathered all the crumbs and tossed them to the birds.
When they finished, Tommy clapped his wings together and said,
“Even the little things are big blessings when we thank God for them!”
That night, the animals sang a soft song under the stars — thanking God for everything, even leftovers. 🌙
The End.
