📚 Toddler Story: The Turkey Who Counted Blessings by Candlelight

(Read in a soft, cozy storyteller voice)

In a quiet little farmhouse on Thanksgiving night, a thankful turkey named Timothy sat by the window with a glowing candle beside him. 🕯️

The feast was finished, and the farmhouse was quiet. The moonlight peeked through the window, shining across the table where crumbs and pumpkin pie plates were left behind.

Timothy folded his wings and whispered, “God, I have so much to be thankful for.”

He looked at the food they shared — “Thank You, God, for dinner.”
He thought of his family — “Thank You, God, for the ones I love.”
He looked at the candlelight and smiled — “Thank You, God, for Your love that never goes out.”

Timothy took a little paper and began to list his blessings — big ones, small ones, funny ones, and special ones.
When he finished, he said softly,
“God, Your blessings shine brighter than my candlelight.”

And as the candle flickered low, Timothy’s heart glowed bright with joy.

The End.

🎲 Activity: Counting Blessings Together

Sit in a cozy circle and dim the lights slightly.
Give each child a small paper “flame” cutout and a crayon.
Ask, “What are you thankful for?”
Write their words on the flame and tape it onto a paper “candle” on the wall.
