Lesson Title:

"The Little Seed That Grew for God"

Faith starts small like a seed but grows big and strong when we trust in God.

Bible Verse (Toddler Version):

"Faith is like a tiny seed that grows." — Matthew 13:31-32 (Toddler-friendly paraphrase)

Main Point to Repeat with Kids:

"God helps my faith grow!"

Story: "The Little Seed That Grew for God" (Toddler Version)

In a big green field, a tiny little seed lay deep in the soil. The seed wanted to be big and strong, but it felt so small and hidden.

One day, warm sunshine shined down, and soft raindrops fell from the sky. The little seed felt a change—it stretched and wiggled beneath the soil.

Slowly, a tiny green sprout poked through the dirt. Day by day, it grew taller and stronger until it became a big, strong tree with branches full of birds!

The little seed didn’t stay little forever—it grew just as God planned!

Jesus told a story just like this. Faith is like a tiny seed—it starts small but grows big when we trust in God!

Activity: "Seed to Tree" Movement Game

How to Play:

  1. Have kids curl up like tiny seeds on the floor.
  2. Say, “The rain falls down”—kids wiggle their fingers like raindrops.
  3. Say, “The sun shines bright”—kids stretch their arms up.
  4. Say, “The seed is growing!”—kids slowly rise to their feet.
  5. Say, “Now you’re a big, strong tree!”—kids stretch their arms out like branches!
  6. Repeat while reminding them that faith starts small but grows strong in God.

  5. Remind them that faith is like a seed—it takes time to grow but becomes strong when we trust God!

Song (To the tune of "I'm a Little Teapot")

🎶
I’m a little seed so small and round,
God sends rain down to the ground.
Up comes sunshine, watch me grow,
With God’s love, my faith will show!

🎶

Closing Prayer (Repeat After Me Style):

Dear God,
Thank You for helping my faith grow.
Thank You for loving me.
Help me trust You more each day.
I want to grow strong in You.
Amen.
