📚 STORY – Toddler-Friendly Bible Story

Mikey and Rico were two happy dinosaurs who were brothers — and also the very best of friends. They loved playing together, laughing together, and helping each other every day.

One February afternoon, Mikey had an idea.

“Rico,” he said, “it’s Valentine’s Day! Let’s do something loving!”

Rico smiled big.
“Let’s make a banana split ice cream for Grammy and Pop-Pop!”

So the two dinosaur brothers went into the kitchen. They got out big scoops of ice cream, bananas, sprinkles, and chocolate syrup. They tried their very best… but oops!

Sprinkles rolled on the floor.
Chocolate syrup dripped everywhere.
Ice cream got a little melty.

Mikey and Rico looked at the mess and felt worried.

But just then, Grammy and Pop-Pop came in.

“Oh my goodness,” Grammy said with a smile.
“This looks made with LOVE!”

Pop-Pop laughed and said, “This is the best Valentine’s treat ever!”

Mikey and Rico felt proud. The banana split wasn’t perfect — but it was made with love. And that made God happy too.

The Bible tells us, “Love one another.” When we try to love others, Jesus is proud of us.

Later that day, when Mom and Dad came to pick them up, Mikey and Rico had another idea.

“Wait!” they said.

They ran back into the kitchen and made another banana split — this one for Mom and Dad!

Everyone smiled, hugged, and shared together.

Mikey and Rico learned something special that day:
When we love our family and help others, Jesus thinks we’re DINO-mite!

🎲 ACTIVITY – Dino Love Stomp

Have children pretend to be dinosaurs.

Stomp once and say: “LOVE!”
Stomp twice and say: “LOVE ONE ANOTHER!”
Hug themselves and say: “Jesus loves me!”

Repeat a few times.

Instructions:
Cut out the dinosaur along the dashed lines. Glue the dinosaur onto a piece of colored construction paper. Press it down gently and let it dry. Your Dino Banana Split craft is ready to display!
