Thankfulness and worship

📖 BIBLE VERSE (TODDLER VERSION):

“Come to God with thankful hearts.” – Psalm 100:4 (Simplified)

🗣️ MAIN POINT TO REPEAT WITH KIDS:

“I can praise God and say thank You!”

📖 TODDLER-FRIENDLY STORY:

It was a warm and sunny day, and all the animal friends were ready for a picnic at the park.

Wally the Watermelon rolled up first, carrying a basket of snacks.
“Thank You, God, for juicy fruit!” he said with a smile.

Next came Strawberry Sue, Grape Gus, and Cantaloupe Carla.
Everyone found a seat on the checkered blanket and bowed their heads.

“Let’s thank God for this day!” said Wally.

They closed their eyes and prayed,
“Thank You, God, for sunshine, snacks, and friends.”

Suddenly, a breeze blew through the trees... and Wally started to sing.

🎶 “Thank You, God, for all You’ve done!
This picnic’s turning into fun!” 🎶

Then Grape Gus started clapping.
Strawberry Sue did a little dance.
Even Carla the cantaloupe tapped a beat with a spoon!

Before long, their picnic became a praise party!

They danced, sang, laughed, and shouted:
“Thank You, God! We love You!”

And Wally said,
“When we’re thankful, it’s the best time to praise!”

🎲 ACTIVITY: PRAISE PARADE PICNIC

Give each child a small instrument (shaker, tambourine, etc.) or let them clap their hands.
March around a picnic blanket or table while singing,
“Thank You, God!”
Have kids freeze when the music stops and shout one thing they’re thankful for!
