📚 STORY: The Squirrel Who Prepared with God’s Help
In the big oak tree at the edge of the park, a little squirrel named Sammy was very busy. He gathered acorns, one by one, stuffing them into his cheeks and carrying them to his cozy nest.
“Why are you working so hard?” asked Bluebird, fluttering nearby.
“I’m getting ready for winter,” Sammy explained. “God gave me strong paws and a clever mind to prepare.”
As the days grew colder, Sammy kept on collecting. His friends played tag and laughed in the grass, but Sammy remembered, God wants me to work hard and be ready.
When winter finally came, snow covered the ground and the trees were bare. The animals who hadn’t prepared were hungry and cold. But Sammy had plenty of acorns — enough to share!
The other animals thanked him, and Sammy smiled. “God helped me prepare. And God always helps us when we trust Him!”
✍️ Story Summary:
Sammy the squirrel was just like the little ant in the Bible. The ant works hard and prepares, and the Bible tells us in Proverbs 6:6 to be wise like the ant. Sammy showed us that when we work and prepare with God’s help, we can be ready too!
