📘 Toddler Story: Willy the Christmas Train
Willy the Train woke up one morning feeling a little sad.
He wondered, “Am I important?”
Willy wasn’t shiny like the fancy trains.
He wasn’t fast like the big strong trains.
He was just… Willy.
Every day, Mr. Baker, the man who takes care of the trains, filled Willy’s cars with toys, food, and warm blankets.
Then Willy chugga-chugga’d down the track into the forest. 🚂🌲
First, he stopped at the Fox Family’s house.
“Thank you, Willy!” the foxes cheered.
Then he went to the Raccoon Family…
then the Skunk Family…
and even the Bear Family!
Everyone smiled and clapped when Willy brought their things. 🧸🎁💛
But Willy still whispered,
“Do I really help?”
That night, Willy told Mr. Baker,
“I’m not special like the other trains.”
Mr. Baker bent down and gave a warm smile.
“Oh, Willy… without YOU, the families would have no toys…
no food…
no warm blankets.”
“You help everyone. God is using you to show love every single day.”
Willy’s heart felt warm and glowy. 💛✨
God WAS using him!
He DID help people!
He DID matter!
Willy puffed down the track proudly and sang,
“God can use ME!” 🚂🎁❤️
🎲 Activity: “Train Track Kindness Game”
Lay painter’s tape on the floor like a train track.
Kids hop along each track stop and say:
“God can use me to help others!”
🎨 Craft: Willy the Christmas Train Paper Plate Craft
Directions:

Glue it to the center of a white paper plate.

Add heart stickers and present stickers around Willy’s train.

Willy woke up early
Sad and feeling blue,
“I don’t think I matter,
What am I supposed to do?”
The Conductor smiled kindly,
Said, “Open up your eyes…
You’re helping all the families —
You’re spreading God’s surprise!”
Chugga-chugga choo-choo,
Willy’s on his way!
Bringing joy and kindness
Every single day!
God gave him a purpose,
Hear the children say:
“Thank You, God, for using us
In Your special way — HOORAY!”
Toys for all the forest friends,
Stacked up in the cart…
Willy didn’t notice
How he blessed every heart!
Foxes, skunks, and raccoons too,
Smiling in delight —
Willy saw their happy faces,
And his heart felt bright!
Chugga-chugga choo-choo,
Willy’s on his way!
Bringing joy and kindness
Every single day!
God gave him a purpose,
Hear the children say:
“Thank You, God, for using us
In Your special way — HOORAY!”
Now he knows God’s with him,
Everywhere he goes…
Delivering love and goodness
So everybody knows:
God uses every helper,
Big and small the same —
Willy puffs with purpose,
Praising Jesus’ name!
Chugga-chugga choo-choo,
Willy’s on his way!
Bringing joy and kindness
Every single day!
God gave him a purpose,
Hear the children say:

In Your special way — HOORAY!”
