Story: "The Little Tree That Wanted to Grow Fast — A Lesson on Patience and Trusting God’s Timing"

Once upon a time, in a big sunny field, there was a tiny little tree named Twiggy.

Twiggy looked up at all the big, tall trees around him and sighed,
"I wish I could grow fast and be tall like them! Why am I still so small?"

The wind gently blew through Twiggy’s tiny leaves and whispered,
"Be patient, little Twiggy. You’ll grow when it’s time."

But Twiggy didn’t want to be patient.
"I want to be tall NOW! I want big branches and lots of leaves! Why do I have to wait?" Twiggy said.

Every day, Twiggy would stretch his little branches as far as he could, hoping to grow faster. But no matter how hard he tried, he was still small.

Twiggy felt sad and said,
"Maybe I’ll never be big like the others."

One day, a cheerful little bird flew down and perched gently on Twiggy’s branch.
"Hello, little tree!" chirped the bird.
Twiggy sighed, "I’m too small. I want to grow big like the tall trees, but I’m not growing fast enough."

The bird smiled and said,
"I used to be a tiny egg, and I had to wait to grow too. God helped me grow at the right time. God will help you grow too!"

Twiggy thought about that.
"So, God has a special time for me to grow?"
"Yes!" said the bird. "God’s timing is always perfect!"

So Twiggy decided to be patient and trust God.

Day by day, Twiggy soaked up the sunshine and drank the rainwater. And little by little, Twiggy’s branches grew longer, and his leaves grew bigger.

One day, Twiggy looked around and realized,
"Wow! I AM growing! God is helping me, just like the bird said!"

Twiggy smiled and whispered,
"Thank You, God, for helping me grow. I’m glad I waited."
