Story: "The Jellybean Who Didn’t Know Where He Belonged — A Story of God's Love"

Once upon a time, in a big colorful candy jar, lived a little jellybean named Jolly.

But Jolly felt out of place.
Some jellybeans were red and spicy, some were green and limey, some were yellow and sweet like lemon.
But Jolly was lots of colors mixed together — a swirly, spotty jellybean!

"I don’t look like anyone else," Jolly whispered. "Where do I belong?"

He watched all the other jellybeans playing and laughing.
"I wish I was red like them," he thought. "Or green like them."

One day, a wise old marshmallow in the jar heard Jolly sighing.
"Why are you sad, little jellybean?" Marshmallow asked.

"I don’t look like anyone else. I don’t fit in," Jolly said.

The marshmallow smiled and said,
"But God made you special! Look at your beautiful swirls and colors! God loves you just as you are."

Jolly blinked. "Really? God loves me?"

"Yes," Marshmallow said. "God made all of us different and loves us all the same."

Jolly thought and then smiled his biggest jellybean smile.
"Wow! I’m special because God made me!"

From that day on, Jolly played happily with the other jellybeans, knowing that he was loved and belonged, just the way God made him.

I'm special — that's good to know!
Jellybean, jellybean, made by God,
God loves me — and that's not odd!

Dear God,
Thank You for making me special.

You love me just as I am.
I love You, God!
