Story: "The Cupcake Who Wanted to Be a Pie — A Story About Being Who God Made You to Be"

Once upon a time, in a cozy little bakery, there was a cute little cupcake named Cuppy.

Cuppy had bright colorful sprinkles and swirly frosting, but sometimes Cuppy didn’t feel very special.
"I wish I were a pie," Cuppy sighed.
"Pies are so big! Pies are so fancy! Everyone talks about pies."

Cuppy looked over at the big blueberry pie and the fancy chocolate pie sitting on the shelf.
"They’re so cool. I wish I could be like them," Cuppy thought.

Just then, Grandma Baker, who made all the sweet treats, came over and smiled warmly.
"Why so sad, little cupcake?" she asked.

"I wish I were a pie like them," said Cuppy.

Grandma Baker knelt down and said,
"But I made you to be a cupcake — with fun sprinkles and sweet frosting! You are just right the way you are."

"But what if pies are better than cupcakes?" Cuppy asked.

Grandma Baker chuckled kindly and said,
"Cupcakes and pies are both wonderful. But they are different — and that’s how I made them to be. Just like God made you special and different from anyone else."

Cuppy listened quietly.

Then, as Cuppy looked around, she saw all the other cupcakes, cookies, and pies — each one looking different and unique.
Suddenly, Cuppy smiled and said,
"God made me to be me! I don’t have to be a pie — I can be happy being a cupcake!"

From that day on, Cuppy sat proudly on the shelf, knowing God made her special, with bright sprinkles and all — and that was enough.
