Generosity and sharing with others

📖 BIBLE VERSE (Toddler Version):

“A kind person will be blessed.” – Proverbs 11:25 (simplified)

🗣️ MAIN POINT TO REPEAT WITH KIDS:

“I can share like Jesus!”

📖 TODDLER-FRIENDLY STORY:

Buddy the Bunny had one donut left.

It was pink. It had sprinkles.
And it was his very favorite kind.

He held it up and said,
“This one’s mine!”

Just then, his friend Bob the Raccoon came walking up.
He looked tired… and very hungry.

Buddy looked at his donut.
He looked at Bob.
And he remembered something Mama Bunny had said:

“God loves when we give — even if it’s the last one.”

Buddy smiled and held out his donut.

Bob’s eyes lit up. “For me?”

Buddy nodded. “Yup! Sharing feels even better than eating it!”

They split the donut right down the middle and giggled as they munched.

That day, Buddy learned a big truth:
When you give to others, you feel full inside.

The End.

📝 POEM: Buddy’s Last Donut

Buddy had a donut, sweet and round and fun,
But when he saw his hungry friend, he gave him half of one.
He didn’t fuss or pout or cry — he smiled real big instead,
Because he knew when we give in love, God fills our hearts instead!

What does it mean to Share Like Jesus? by ChurchHouseCollectionStore.com. Jesus shared food and fed thousands with a few loaves of bread and fish

✝️ So… What Did Jesus Share?

Jesus shared everything — not just physical things, but His love, time, kindness, truth… and ultimately, His life.

Here are some toddler-friendly examples you can teach:

💡 Examples of What Jesus Shared (Toddler Version):

  • He shared food: Like the time He fed thousands with loaves and fish (Matthew 14:13–21)

  • He shared kindness: He talked to people others ignored — like Zacchaeus or the woman at the well

  • He shared healing: He made sick people better

  • He shared His time: Jesus spent time with children, His friends, and even strangers

  • He shared God’s love: Everywhere He went, He showed how much God cares

  • He shared Himself: He gave His life for us so we could be with God forever (John 3:16)

So when we say, “I can share like Jesus,” we’re teaching toddlers not just to give toys or snacks — but to be loving, thoughtful, and generous in spirit, just like He was.

📘 TEACHING NOTE: What Does It Mean to Share Like Jesus?

When we say, “I can share like Jesus,” we aren’t just talking about toys or treats — we’re helping children learn to share from their heart, just like Jesus did.

Jesus shared…

  • Food – He fed thousands with just a few loaves and fish

  • Time – He stopped what He was doing to be with others

  • Kindness – He helped people no one else wanted to help

  • Love – He showed every person that they mattered

  • His Life – He gave everything so we could know God’s love forever

Sharing like Jesus means:

  • Helping others when they need something

  • Being kind, even when it’s hard

  • Giving joyfully, not just when we have extra

  • Thinking of others before ourselves

That’s what Buddy the Bunny did — and that’s what we’re learning to do too. 💖
