📖 Toddler-Friendly Story

Teddy the raccoon woke up VERY excited.

Today was fair day!

Teddy loved the fair.

He loved the games…
He loved the rides…
He loved the bright lights and silly music…

But MOST of all…

Teddy could NOT wait to eat his favorite food in the whole world:

A BIG yummy corn dog!

Teddy played games with his friends.
He rode rides that spun around and around.
He laughed and smiled all day long.

Soon Teddy smelled something delicious in the air.

“Mmmmmm…” Teddy said.
“That smells like CORN DOGS!”

Teddy hurried over to the food stand and waited patiently in line.

A funny clown stood at the window taking orders.

“One BIG corn dog, please!” Teddy said happily.

The clown handed Teddy a giant warm corn dog.

“Oh boy!” Teddy smiled.

Teddy carried his corn dog to a picnic table and sat down carefully.

Before he ate, Teddy bowed his head.

“Dear God,” Teddy prayed,
“Thank You for this wonderful day.
Thank You for the fun rides, the games, my friends, and this yummy corn dog.
Thank You for all the good things You give me.
Amen.”

Then Teddy dipped his corn dog into ketchup and mustard…

…and took the BIGGEST bite ever!

“MMMMMMMM!” Teddy grinned.

Just then, Teddy’s raccoon friends came running over carrying corn dogs too!

“Teddy! Can we sit with you?” they asked.

“Yes!” Teddy laughed.

Soon the whole picnic table was filled with happy raccoons, corn dogs, laughter, ketchup, and smiles.

That night before bed, Teddy smiled and prayed again:

“Thank You, God, for all the happy things You give us every day.”
