The Crayons Who Lived Under the Turtle’s Bed Bedtime Story

🖍️🐢 The Crayons Who Lived Under the Turtle’s Bed
A Bedtime Story from Once Upon a Snooze Dream©
There once was a turtle named Mike.
He wasn’t your average slowpoke — no sir.
Mike was a pajama-wearing, comic-book-reading, bedtime-loving kind of turtle.
Every night after brushing his little turtle teeth and straightening his blanket, Mike would scoot into bed, tuck in his shell, and whisper:
“Goodnight, everything.”
Then he’d fall asleep with a quiet snore… snore… snurfle…
But lately, something strange had been happening.
Every morning when Mike woke up…
There were crumbs on his floor.
A trail of glitter.
And once… even a chewed-up sticker stuck to his tail.
Mike scratched his turtle chin.
“I don’t eat stickers. Do I?”
He thought it might be ants. Or maybe he was snack-walking in his sleep. But one night, he decided to stay up late and watch.
He turned off the lights… hid behind his laundry basket… and waited.
He waited.
And waited…
Snore… snore… snurfle…
Mike accidentally fell asleep.
🦴 The Next Night…
Mike came prepared. He slid a small video camera under the bed and hit record. Then he tucked himself in, turned out the lights, and went to sleep like usual.
In the morning, Mike rushed to the camera and hit play.
And what he saw?
Blew. His. Mind.
There they were. Clear as day. One by one, they’d lifted a teeny trap door in the floorboards, popped their colorful heads up, and tiptoed into the space under his bed.
A little blue crayon rode in on a button.
A tall red one pushed a shopping cart full of glitter.
A green crayon was walking a pet paperclip on a string.
Mike gasped.
“They built... a village! A whole crayon village! And... is that a popsicle stick café?!”
He rewound the footage three times. Zoomed in. There was a tiny town square under his bed. A fountain made from a juice box straw. Lamp posts made from spaghetti noodles. And a suspicious sign that read:
“Crayons Only. Turtles Keep Out.”
Mike sat in stunned silence. Then he grinned so wide his teeth squeaked.
“There are CRAYONS living under my bed! I have to meet them!”
🍕 The Pizza Plan
That day, Mike got to work. He wrote a note with his biggest crayons and slid it under the bed. It said:
“Dear Crayons,
I saw your village. I love it. I think you’re amazing.
I’d like to invite you to a pizza party tonight!
I’ll make homemade pizza for everyone — glitter optional.
Hope to see you there!
–Mike the Turtle 🐢🍕”
Then Mike started cooking. He made tiny pizzas, giant pizzas, cheesy pizzas, and one with sprinkles… just in case.
That night, the crayons came out as usual — tiptoeing, balancing supplies, checking for falling socks — and then they saw the note.
They paused.
They read.
And then?
They zoomed up the bed leg like it was a roller coaster.
🖍️🍕 Crayons and Conversation
The pizza party was a hit.
The blue crayon tried pineapple for the first time.
The yellow one ate five slices and burped confetti.
The green one told stories about pet paperclip races and glitter bowling tournaments under the bed.
They laughed.
They shared.
They even taught Mike how to draw with his tail.
“We’ve lived under your bed for years,” said Blue.
“We love it. It’s warm, your snoring sounds like waves, and your sock collection is excellent.”
From that night on, Mike and the crayon village became the best of friends.
He built them a ramp for grocery runs, made them a blanket fort tunnel, and even installed a tiny pizza oven made from an old lunchbox.
In return, the crayons drew a mural under the bed — a big, glittery masterpiece of turtles, crayons, pizza… and friendship.
🌙💤 The End
So if you hear tiny noises under your bed tonight… don’t worry.
It might just be a crayon pizza party — and you’re totally invited.
