Post 16: “You’re Allowed to Change”

You’re allowed to change.
Even if people liked the old version of you.
Even if it makes others uncomfortable.
Even if you don’t have all the words yet to explain why.

You’re allowed to let go of things you once held tightly.
Beliefs, habits, dreams, friendships, versions of yourself that made sense then — but don’t fit anymore.

You’re allowed to grow out of who you were.

That doesn’t make you fake.
That doesn’t make you flakey.
That makes you human — alive, evolving, brave.

You’re not here to stay frozen in time, to play the same role forever, to carry the same opinions just because they used to feel right.

You’re allowed to get curious.
To unlearn.
To soften.
To choose differently now than you would’ve back then.

You are allowed to surprise yourself.
To become someone you never imagined.
To show up in your own life with new strength, new boundaries, new softness, new joy.

Not everyone will understand your changes.
Not everyone is meant to.
And that’s okay.

Some people will only know the version of you they met first.
But you know the truth: that version was a stepping stone, not a final destination.

You don’t owe anyone the maintenance of who you used to be.

So breathe.
Shift.
Bloom in the direction your heart is pulling you.

You are allowed to change.
And still be loved.
And still be worthy.
And still be you.
