Post 08: “When You’re the One Who Always Shows Up for Everyone Else”

If this is you, I want you to know — I see you.

You’re the one people call when they’re falling apart.
The one who always responds, always checks in, always says, “I’ve got you.”
You’re the helper. The strong one. The steady voice on the other end of the line.

And because you’re so good at being there for everyone else…
Sometimes people forget to ask if you’re okay.
Not because they don’t care — but because you wear your strength so quietly, so convincingly, that it never occurs to them you might need someone too.

But you do.
Of course you do.

Even the strongest trees need stillness.
Even the brightest lights need rest.
Even the most dependable hearts deserve to be held.

Just because you carry it well doesn’t mean it’s not heavy.

You don’t always have to be the one who shows up.
You’re allowed to not answer right away.
You’re allowed to fall apart sometimes.
You’re allowed to say “I need someone, too.”

You matter just as much when you’re not fixing.
You matter just as much when you’re tired.
You matter just as much when you’re still.

So if no one’s checked in on you lately — let this post be that moment.
How are you doing, really?

Your care counts.
Your presence is a gift.
But you — your heart, your soul, your well-being — those matter too.

And just for today, if no one else says it:

Thank you. For all you do. For all you are.
You don’t go unseen here. 💛
