Post 27: “When Others Doubt the Work You’re Called to Do”
There’s something sacred about knowing deep in your soul that God has called you to do a work.
You can feel it.
It pulls at you in the quiet moments.
It wakes you up at night.
It stirs in your spirit until you can’t ignore it anymore.
But then — you step forward in obedience…
and instead of support, you get sideways glances.
You get people shaking their heads.
You hear the muttered, “Who do they think they are?”
And it hurts.
Because you weren’t looking for applause.
You were just trying to be faithful.
And yet, their disbelief lingers in the air like a shadow.
Here’s what I want to remind you:
You don’t need their approval to walk in God’s calling.
They didn’t put that fire in you.
They didn’t write that assignment over your life.
And they don’t get to decide whether or not you’re qualified.
God chooses the unlikely.
He raises up the overlooked.
He equips the ones the world counts out.
So if others shake their head in disbelief, let them.
If they don’t see it, that’s okay — they’re not supposed to.
The call wasn’t given to them. It was given to you.
Your obedience matters more than their opinions.
Your “yes” to God carries weight far beyond their disbelief.
And here’s the beautiful truth:
One day, the very work they doubted might be the very thing that points them closer to Him.
Your calling isn’t just about you — it’s about the lives that will be touched because you chose to follow anyway.
So keep going.
Keep building.
Keep walking forward in faith.
Because when God calls, that’s all the confirmation you need. 💛
