Post 25: “The Little Things Are the Big Things”
Life can feel so busy, so overwhelming, so loud sometimes. We chase after milestones, big changes, big goals. But when you stop and look back — it’s the little things that glow brightest.
It’s the smell of coffee in the morning.
The sound of laughter from the other room.
The way sunlight spills across the floor at just the right angle.
A warm blanket on a cold night.
A hug that lingers a second longer than usual.
The quiet “me too” from someone who understands.
Those aren’t small things.
They’re everything.
Because the little things add up.
They are the moments that shape our days, carry us through the heavy parts, and remind us why life is still worth showing up for.
It’s easy to think joy has to be big and shiny.
But often, joy whispers.
It shows up in socks fresh out of the dryer, in music that fits your mood, in a note left on the counter, in shared silence that feels like love.
Don’t overlook those moments.
Don’t brush past them thinking they’re too ordinary to matter.
Because one day, you’ll look back and realize:
they weren’t little at all.
They were the big things. 💛
