Post 18: “Sometimes It’s Not the Thing That Needs to Change”

Maybe you’ve been staring at the same situation for a while now —
and it’s heavy.
Unclear.
Complicated.
Unfair.
Exhausting.

And maybe you’ve been thinking,
“If this one thing could just change… then I’d finally feel peace.”

But what if the change doesn’t come right away?
What if the situation stays?
What if the outcome stays fuzzy?
What if the only thing that can shift right now… is your view?

Sometimes it’s not the thing that needs to change — it’s the way you’re seeing it.

Not in a “just be positive” kind of way.
Not in a “pretend it doesn’t hurt” kind of way.
But in a what if there’s still something meaningful here kind of way.

Maybe the closed door is protecting you.
Maybe the long wait is preparing you.
Maybe the hard conversation taught you more than comfort ever could.

Perspective isn’t about denial.
It’s about discovery.

It’s about zooming out — and realizing that what felt like an ending might actually be a beginning.
That what felt like silence might be space.
That what felt like loss might be leading to light.

So if you’ve been looking at the same thing over and over and still feel stuck…
Try changing the angle.
Try tilting your heart just a little.
Try asking, “What is this teaching me?” instead of “Why is this happening to me?”

The thing might not change today.
But your eyes can.
Your heart can.
And sometimes… that changes everything.
