📘 BIBLE THEME:

Forgiveness and kindness

📖 BIBLE VERSE (Toddler Version):

“Be kind and forgive each other.” – Ephesians 4:32

🗣️ MAIN POINT TO REPEAT WITH KIDS:

“I can forgive like Jesus!”

📖 TODDLER-FRIENDLY STORY:

Flopsy the Bunny loved sunny days, dandelion snacks, and hopping with friends.
One day, she built a little tower out of sticks, leaves, and her favorite flower petals.
“It’s my nature fort!” she said proudly.

But just as she hopped off to get her carrot juice…

CRASH!

Jesse the Fox had been zooming through the woods and accidentally knocked over her fort.

“Oh no!” Flopsy gasped.
Jesse’s tail drooped. “I didn’t mean to. I’m sorry.”

Flopsy’s ears twitched. She felt upset.
But then she remembered something her mama had told her:

“Jesus forgives us. We can forgive others too.”

She took a deep breath.
“It’s okay, Jesse. I forgive you.”

Jesse smiled. “Really?”
Flopsy nodded. “Wanna help me rebuild it?”

So they worked together — and this time, made the fort even better.

From that day on, Flopsy and Jesse played every day — and never forgot that kindness and forgiveness build better things than anger ever could.

🎲 ACTIVITY: Hop & Hug Forgiveness Game

Have all the children line up and hop around the room like bunnies.
Call out: “Someone made a mess!”
Then shout: “Forgive them!”

Kids freeze, give a pretend hug, and say: “I forgive you!”
Repeat a few times with silly scenarios like “someone took my carrot” or “someone bumped my tail!”

🎨 CRAFT: Flopsy’s Forgiveness Heart

Supplies Needed:

  • Construction paper hearts (red or pink)

  • Bunny ears (cut from white paper)

  • Crayons or markers

  • Glue stick

  • Label: “I can forgive like Jesus – Ephesians 4:32”

  • Craft stick

Directions:

  1. Let kids draw a happy face on the heart.

  2. Glue on bunny ears at the top.

  3. Decorate with stickers or drawings.

  4. Add the verse label and craft stick.

Optional: Write someone’s name inside the heart that they want to show kindness to.

🍎 SNACK IDEA: Forgiveness Fruit Cups

Give each child:

  • A small cup of mixed fruit (grapes, strawberries, bananas, etc.)

  • Mini bunny crackers on top

Say:
“All these fruits are different, but they’re sweet together — just like kindness and forgiveness!”

🍎 SNACK IDEA: Bunny Ears & Cheese Squares

Give each child some baby carrots (bunny ears) and some cheese cubes.

Say: "“God forgives me, and I forgive too!”

🎵 SONG: “I Can Forgive”

(To the tune of “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”)

I can choose to be kind too,
Just like Jesus tells me to!
When a friend does something wrong,
I forgive and get along.
Jesus loves and so do I —
I forgive and never cry.

📝 POEM: Flopsy’s Choice

Flopsy built a fort so sweet,
With leafy walls and flowered seat.
But Jesse crashed it with a “CRACK!”
And Flopsy nearly shouted back.

She took a breath, then gave a grin —
“I’ll build again — come help me in!”
Forgiveness won, and joy came fast.
Their friendship grew and still will last.

🎭 PRETEND PLAY GAME: Rebuild the Fort!

Use chairs, blankets, and pillows to build a pretend bunny fort.
Have one child gently “knock it down,” and let another child pretend to forgive and say,
“Let’s build it again — together!”

Switch roles so everyone gets a turn.

🙏 CLOSING PRAYER (REPEAT AFTER ME):

Dear God,
Thank You for loving me.
Help me to be kind.
Help me forgive others.
Like Jesus forgives me!
Amen.
