⛱️ THE BEACH BALL THAT BOUNCED BACK

A toddler Bible story lesson about how God helps us when we fall. With a simple craft, snack idea, movement game, and joyful message, this lesson is perfect for Sunday School, homeschool, preschool, and more!

📘BIBLE THEME:

God helps us when we fall

📖BIBLE VERSE (TODDLER VERSION):

“When I fall, God helps me up!” – Micah 7:8 (simplified)

🗣️MAIN POINT TO REPEAT WITH KIDS:

“God helps me bounce back!”

📖TODDLER-FRIENDLY STORY:

Bobby the Beach Ball was bright, bouncy, and ready for fun!

He loved flying high above the sand, playing games with the kids, and rolling down sunny hills.

But one day at the beach, something unexpected happened...

BOUNCE — THUMP — POP!

Bobby flew too high, hit a spiky shell, and landed flat.

“Uh-oh,” he sighed. “I can’t bounce... I’ve fallen.”

The beach toys nearby whispered sadly.

“He was such a fun ball.”

“I guess Bobby’s done now.”

But Bobby wasn’t ready to give up.

He whispered a little prayer:
“God, I’ve fallen. Can You help me bounce back?”

Just then, a kind little girl came over.

“Oh no, you need a patch!” she said.

She gently fixed his side and blew air back into him.

Bobby felt stronger.

He wiggled.

He bounced.

And then—BOING!

He was back in the game!

Bobby shouted, “God helped me bounce back! I’m not done after all!”

And all the beach toys cheered,
“Yay! Bobby’s back!”

🎲ACTIVITY: BOUNCE-BACK RELAY

Let each child have a soft beach ball or bouncy toy.
Have them bounce it once, then say:
“God helps me bounce back!”
If it rolls away or falls, they pick it up and say:
“God helps me when I fall!”

  5. Optional: Stick a small band-aid or paper patch on the side to show Bobby “bounced back!”

  6. Optional: Attach a jumbo popsicle stick to the back to turn it into a hand puppet.

🎵SONG TITLE: “BOUNCE BACK WITH GOD”

(To the tune of “London Bridge”)

When I fall, I bounce right back,
Bounce right back, bounce right back.
When I fall, I bounce right back—
God helps me each time!

When I’m down, I say a prayer,
Say a prayer, say a prayer.
When I’m down, I say a prayer—
God is always there!

📝POEM: BOBBY THE BOUNCER

Bobby flew and hit the ground,
He didn’t make a single sound.
He whispered, “God, please help me now,”
And soon he bounced back up — WOW!

🎭PRETEND PLAY GAME: BEACH BALL RESCUE

Create a small obstacle course.
Let kids roll or gently toss a “sad” beach ball (one that has fallen).
When it reaches the end, have them pretend to patch it, then bounce it and cheer:
“God helps us bounce back!”

🍎SNACK IDEA: BEACH BALL POPCORN CUPS

Fill clear cups with white popcorn and toss in red, blue, and yellow candies or sprinkles. Place a printable beach ball label on each cup for theme fun!

Say before eating:
“God gives me strength to bounce back!”

🙏CLOSING PRAYER (REPEAT AFTER ME):

Dear God,
Thank You for helping me.
When I fall down,
You lift me up.
Help me bounce back every time!
Amen.
